Near paused his eyes downcast as he made his way to the door. He rather wanted a Snivy... But any Pokémon would do. He was just... Tired of the filthy humanity that plagued this world. He'd see the evil race demolished in any way possible and what better way than by getting his very own partner who would help him do such a deed. Pokémon were strong and pure unlike the vile race he belonged to. He'd get one and start training instantly

Professor Wilson opened the door; she had seen Near walking up to lab door. Her thin hair, greying. She had aged lines, but at the same time looked rather young. Maybe she drank from the mythical fountain of youth?
She smiled towards Near, "New trainer?"

Near gazed at her, his eyes once again appearing to gaze through the professor into her very soul and heart and he nodded. He never said a word, he didn't have to. He was too busy training and off in his own mind he simply stared at her. He wanted a Snivy rather bad, but he'd never voice such. He'd wait for the perfect partner to call out to him.

Professor Wilson shivered slightly, his gaze slightly disturbing her. Nonetheless, she released the pokemon, letting all of them interact with Near, to see which one liked him. All of them stayed away, shy. But one little Seedot hobbled its way to Near, eager to make a new friend.

Near reached a hand towards the Seedot, 'Hello there' he called to it in his telepathic voice. He seemed to smile when it came to him. No he didn't seem to smile he actually did smile as he reached over letting the Pokémon approach and get used to him. 'Will you be my friend...?' he asked it, his eyes seemed to light up, even if he never said a word, he was at home around these strange yet wonderful creatures.
