RANGERS
Rangers are different from the other classes of rangers, they have their own game in Pokémon Ranger for the DSLite/Dsi, in which as a beginning Ranger with a rank of ‘normal’ you are given what is called a capture device. With your DS stylus, you draw circles around a wild Pokémon to ask for it’s aid in your current mission, but it stays in the wild, still.
As a Pokémon Ranger, you are better suited to face harsh wilderness than ever a trainer. Where as a normal trainer, breeder, or coodinator would need a Lapras or other water type to cross the ocean all a ranger must do is wait for one to appear, use their capture device to befriend it and get on it’s back. Problem solved.
However, as you can only have ONE Pokémon as a ’normal’ rank, you shall be expected to do quests. Quests depending on how hard they are will give you some fantastic rewards. At first it shall be only money, then as you level up through the ranger ranks and take on harder missions you can get new Pokémon, Pokémon eggs, even Tms/Hms!
Ranks:
All beginning Pokémon Rangers start with a single Pokémon Partner found at the lab, and must see their executive to get a mission from the Ranger HQ to prove their worth and receive a Capture Device for the first time. After you see Zero and get your capture device and your Ranger Badge you are assigned as the following ranks. All ranks and minor job details are found below
How do you level up the ranks? Report to Zero and he will act as a gym leader of sorts. You must simply battle him and win. Each time you face him he will be that much stronger.
Normal:
The beginning stage, at most all you will do is locate lost Pokémon for a money prize
Copper:
the secondary stage, here you’ll be asked to not only locate lost Pokémon but rescue Pokémon from an abusive trainer.
Silver:
Here you will be asked to do both ‘normal’ and ‘copper’ rank missions as well as rescue stranded Pokémon or humans
Gold:
Here you will do all of the lower ranking missions, but you may also take on a Normal Ranked ranger to train, you will also most likely be asked to do things by Twilight Official Polic. You may carry up to three Pokémon with you at this rank
Platinum:
This Rank holds great prestige, you decide whether to take any missions or simply explore, you can even delegate missions yourself, as well as some of the regions Gymleaders and possibly the Elite Four from time to time will ask for you help too! You may carry up to Four You may carry up to three Pokémon with you at this rank.
Diamond:
A legendary rank… What all does it entail? Reach it and find out for yourself.
