Name: Eldora Nel'de
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Description: She is by no means a slip of a woman, at six foot two she's about as hard to spot as a Taurus on main street. Body is fit for a fight, the years spent racing around the outskirts of Viridian Forest and later the wilds of the Safari Zone has made sure Eldora is ready for any challenge ahead. Eyes of a brilliant turquoise are often hiding behind thick plastic neon spectacles, as strong as her body is she can't see worth a darn without them. Pale brown hair swings against her shoulders, finally free from years cropped into a pixie cut. The curly locks often hiding the dangly earrings she wears from time to time. Clothing hasn't changed from her Fuchsia City attire, mainly cargo pants [with oodles of pockets], t-shirts, hiking boots, and her brother's old grey jacket she refuses to get rid of.
Personality: Eldora isn't one for simply trying, when she starts something she'll keep at it until she succeeds. Emotions are always full throttle; when she'd happy she'll practically glow, mad and you'll feel the ground shake for miles. She strives to push herself to be the best she can be, years of living in such a stifling hometown has made her switch into overdrive to make up for lost time. More often then not her intense behavior will push people away, unable to understand her, at times, over the top behavior. Luckily those in the Pokemon profession have proven to be much more accepting, most having been cut from similar cloth.
History: While born to a happy couple in Viridian City, most of Eldora's childhood memories come from her time spent with relatives in nearby Pewter City. Her parents were nice people, raising her and her brother with love and nearly anything they needed, but they were so boring! In fact the whole dang city was boring, trainers hardly stayed long since the gym was never open and there were hardly any local kids to play with. To make matters worse her brother, Tennri, who was six years older than her, left home the day after he turned 14 to start his Gym Challenge. Thank god for relatives!
Before she could sink into a blue period, her Aunt Ola invited the eight year old up to Pewter to spend her summer break, no doubt prodded by her concerned but clueless mother. It was easily the best vacation ever to the teen, the whole family were trainers with her Uncle and two oldest cousins working at the Pewter City Gym while her Aunt Ola was a curator at the museum. Her youngest cousins, fraternal twin girls, were easily the biggest Clefairy fans she'd ever meet. The trio would spend lazy summer nights trying to find a group performing their moon dance but would usually end up empty handed. As the summer drew to a close and the years flew by she kept in close contact with her extended family, along with the weekly e-mail from Tennri.
It was thanks to Tennri that Eldora was accepted into an internship at the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City. He'd made friends with the warden after helping him find some gold thingamajig and had put in a good word for his scholarly sibling. Now sixteen and done with her general education, Eldora didn't feel the urge to become a trainer like her brother; instead feeling more of a researcher prodding. Her job at the Safari Zone was everything she could hope for, able to observe a wide variety of Pokemon in their natural habitat instead of just a battle field. Three years soon past, and while content with her little hideaway she couldn't help but jump at the chance to travel to the Twilight Region and study the strange phenomena blossoming there.
Type of Trainer: Breeder
Activity: I'll typically be on at least once a day, if not every other.
Roleplay Sample: [Old post from a PKMN academy site, since inactive.]
It was mid morning when his father pulled up in front of the school, both of his passengers pressed up against the windows in awe. The little rental was just getting turned off before the teen was scrambling to get out, his Buneary clinging to his shoulder. "Brent", his father called out before he could get too far away, "You going to help me with your bags?" The tone was stern but a smile was on the man's face as he leaned on the driver's side door. The blue haired boy ducked his head, embarrassed of course, quickly making his way back down to the driveway and to the trunk of the car.
As he set his duffel bag on top of his suitcase, Brent looked up at his father, "I guess it's going to be real quiet without me or Doug around huh." Mr. Nert didn't say anything at first, simply shut the trunk and then turned to lean against it. Stroking his chin he finally replied, "Well your Mother was thinking of setting up a studio in one of the bedrooms." He let the silence drag on as his son stared in horror at the news. "Hehe! Got you there huh? Naw me 'n Hank are gonna build her one in the backyard. Your brother said he might be able to get us a few Machamps to help out."
Ruffling his son's hair, he jangled the keys in his hand. "You want me to stay and get you all settled?" Brent shook his head, like he couldn't do that himself! He snuck in a quick hug before grabbing his gear and heading towards the ramp, Buneary bouncing ahead. He slowed down as he heard the car start up, looking over his shoulder to watch his father pull away.
"Ew Trent you're so gross!"
Brent turned back around, confused. Did someone just say his name? The only other people he saw were a couple closer to the door. The blonde boy had some sort of pink lizard in his arms who was trying to slobber all over the girl next to him. "Oh man is that a Lickitung? Are you going to try and evolve it into a Lickilicky?" He exclaimed rather loudly, getting closer to the pair. He soon flushed red once again as he realized that the boy was actually more like in his twenties and had quite a few pokeballs attached to his belt. Before he could stammer some sort of apology, the trainer gently laughed, "Not for some time. Sal is still pretty young." Turning to the girl he tucked the Lickitung under one arm, "I'll see ya at break Sophie. I gotta get Sal outta here before he tries to attach himself to someone." Waving to Brent, and dislodging Sal's tongue from his jacket, Trent left down the stairs.
"You're new here right? I'm Sophie Onik. Reception is just inside." The girl smiled at him, tucking hair behind her ears as she said so. As he gave her his name Buneary decided it was the perfect time to sneak attack, leaping into her arms with a warrior cry. "Buuuun!" Both trainers laughed and entered the building; Bun sulked of course since it seemed like they should be cowering in fear.
